Leg 22 of our 2022 cruise up north

We made it to Little Current today. It’s been a busy afternoon getting groceries, doing laundry at the laundromat, and more beer at the LCBO.
We left Heywood Island this morning with a consideration of the swing bridge schedule. Almost two weeks ago, we missed it by just a few minutes and I really didn’t want to go through that wait again! I figured if we left Heywood around 11:30 and averaged 5 knots for the 7 miles to the bridge we’d comfortably make the 1:00 opening. Unfortunately, the winds were a little lighter, but we still did make it via sail. We were the only sailboat, though, so if we had been much later they might not have opened at 1:00 at all. Whew!
